Sandoval for Judge

Sandoval for San Francisco Superior Court Judge

San Francisco’s Judges must reflect who we are as a City.

I am running for judge because we deserve a court with a balanced and diverse point of view that reflects San Francisco. Currently, thirty percent of our judges are Republican, many come from large corporate law firms, only two percent are Hispanic, and many others do not even live in San Francisco!

By comparison, I have had the honor to serve you as a member of the Board of Supervisors for the past seven years. I was previously a San Francisco Public Defender. I also worked as an aide to former Mayor Art Agnos and a City Commissioner overseeing MUNI. I am a husband, father and homeowner in San Francisco.

I graduated from Columbia Law School and earned a BA and Master’s Degree from U.C. Berkeley. After Columbia, I went to work at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, one of the finest law firms in the country. My father was a City gardener, my mother was a seamstress. They taught me hard work and a sense of public purpose.

I hope you will take the time to find out more about my campaign. I ask for your support this June 3, 2008.

Sincerely,

Gerardo Sandoval
